Métis Spirit Dance

Acrylic on canvas

The Métis people are dancing between two worlds: the Indigenous world and the non-Indigenous world. The Métis have successfully interwoven key elements of these two worlds to create a distinct Métis culture and a distinct Métis nation. From a metaphysical point of view, the Métis are influenced by both the material realm and the spiritual realm and it is the interaction between matter and spirit that shape Métis destiny.
